Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting. Dr. Manion, Executive Secretary asked for approval of minutes from last year. These were approved without additions or corrections.

Past WMTS Presidents and Delegates in Attendance. Vincenzo Sciacca Italy, Angelo Psaila Malta, Carl-Gustaf Oxelius Sweden, Micaela Hernberg Finland, Doris Trubert-Exinger Austria, Jan Kirchner Czech Republic, Gerhard Groell Germany, Chi Pang Wen Taiwan, Marcin Wronski Poland, Zdravko Milkovic Croatia, Almos Klekner Hungary, Haiduc Catalin Petru Romania, Yosef Davidovitch Israel, Stanislav Fetisov Estonia, Petter Stromme Norway, Bonnie Sidoff USA, Darren Leong Singapore, Remigijus Zaliunas Lithuania, Bartolo Bresciano, Toru Higashi Japan, Cesar Villaran Peru, Eric Gultom Indonesia, Samuel Simon Indonesia, Miroslav Ondrej Slovakia, Lars Hagberg Sweden. Guests: Roberta Sciacca, Cara Keenan.

Report of Meeting. Dr. Sciacca reported on details of the meeting. There were 440 participants; 27 nations were represented; there were16 countries with Men's Nations' Cup teams and 8 countries with Women's Nations' Cup Teams; there were about 720-740 matches played. 500 shirts, 2,000 large water bottles, bottles of wine in gift bags were distributed. Approximately 2,000 euros were added to the WMTS reserve fund in Finland. He acknowledged the Italian organizers who worked so hard to make this successful and memorable.

President's Report. Dr. Valeinis reported on his extensive work on developing a seeding system for future tournaments to make the draws as fair as possible; this system, based on points-accumulated should work well. He asked for a vote to see if this system should be required or recommended, a "rule" or a "suggestion," in the future. The vote was "a rule," so next year in Latvia, the system will be used. Dr. Valeinis was given praise for his long efforts to accomplish this. He also praised Italian doctors for their efforts to make the meeting exceptional.

By-Laws Changes. The rules for Nations' Cup are now changed in order to be fair to all participating countries whether with large or small delegations. From now on two, or up to four, players may play / round. The competition will be the same: Open Singles, 45 Doubles, Open 55 Singles. This applies to both women's and men's competition. There must be an age-45 player and an age-55 player. If only 2 players, then each would play a singles and then the doubles following the singles. There can be a younger-than-45 player, but he/she can only play Open Singles, and that would require a total of 3 players/round.

Remembrance. Moments of silence were observed for 2 WMTS friends, Craig Broome and Marieta Kardosz, who died in the last year.

Next Meetings.
---2013. Jurmala, Latvia, outside of Riga. August 17-23. Dr. Valeinis gave a power point presentation and handed out brochures.
---2014. Bali, Indonesia. September 20-27. Drs. Gultom and Simon presented. They first spoke of having the meeting in Jakarta. This was met with the question could they have it in Bali where they had it some years ago. A problem is that the courts are scattered in a number of places. Drs. Gultom and Simon discussed this among their Indonesian colleagues and said, yes, they would have it in Bali.
---2015. Rotterdam, Netherlands. (Dr. Willy Halim presented the site last year and was unable to attend this year.)
---2016. Lima, Peru. Dr. Cesar Villaran has offered Peru as the site. We would play in Lima, at sea level. This would be the first time WMTS would travel to South America. This was received with a lot of interest among the delegates.

Respectfully submitted,

James L. Manion, M.D.
Executive Secretary

Excerpts from Dr. Stanley McCampbell's, "My Memoirs of The World Medical Tennis Society," written in 1991.

"To me it has been a great honor to know and enjoy the friendship of doctors from around the world. It has been the most exciting experience of my life. Doctors... can be assured that if they travel thousands of miles to meetings, they will be certain of a warm welcome, well-organized tournaments and scientific sessions, and a grand, good time. It is an opportunity, unequalled, as far as I know, of enjoying the friendship of interesting, fun loving, sportsman-like doctors who will be friends for life. I would certainly like to do it all over again."
